Reggae album top 10 2017 (LP/CD only)

It has been a while since we had a year this good for full length reggae releases. So good that I bought enough albums (physical copies that is) to make a reggae top 10 for the year. Here we go:

1.         Samory I – Black Gold
2.         Damian Marley – Stony Hill
3.         Courtney John – Ecosystem
4.         Junior Natural feat. Sly & Robbie – Militant
5.         Frightnrs – More To Say Versions
6.         Jesse Royal – Lily of Da Valley
7.         Chronixx – Chronology
8.         Ghetto Priest – Every Man For Every Man
9.         Spiritual – Awakening
10.     Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry & Subatomic Sound System – Super Ape Returns to Conquer

Special mention for this digital only release: Randy Valentine – New Narrative. Love it.

Didn’t get that many singles this year, but do want to make special mention of the return of Roots Tribe / Slimmah Sound to the recording scene with two wicked, brand new 45s by Mark Wonder and Danny Red. Here's hoping for more in 2018. :)
